Happy Mother’s Day Mama!

I wanted to take the time out today to say thank you to my mom for being such a wonderful mama to me throughout the years. This is my first mother’s day where I can truly appreciate who you are and all the things that you have done for me throughout my 26 years of life. Mom, thanks for the example that you have set for me as a mom to Londyn. Thanks for all of the advice and phone  [ Read More ]

It’s Been A While…

So, it has been a while since I have written…the three of us have been busy over the past weeks and months, enjoying life to the fullest and making the most of every day. As usual, Tommy is working a lot (12-15 hours per day) and being an awesome provider so that I can stay home with sweet Londyn. We cherish every moment that we have together, and Londyn is definitely turning into a daddy’s girl more and more each  [ Read More ]

Five Months with Londyn Grace

Today our sweet Londyn is five months old! I continue to be amazed at the progress and the changes that occur every day as I play with her and take care of her. She has become very observant in the past couple of weeks and loves to play with her little toys, staring at them as if she is looking at every detail. She loves to play in her excersaucer and her Johnny Jump Up too. She has not quite  [ Read More ]

Weeks 4 and 5: Busy Bees

Sorry that it has taken me a couple of weeks to blog! We have been so busy- working on so many things and getting used to running errands and staying sooooo busy at home! I am loving staying home with this little bundle, and she is growing like a weed. We went to the doctor on September 30th, and everything was great! She weighed 10 pounds, 2.5 ounces, and had grown an inch in length. She also got her first  [ Read More ]

Week Three: Solo

This week has been an awesome week. Londyn is now three weeks old and changing every day. We have had a very eventful week. We started it out with taking our first little road trip to Charlotte. Tommy had to work there for two days, so Londyn and I tagged along and spent some time with Aunt Sherie and Emma. She travelled like a champ…sleeping in her car seat the entire time without a fuss.

So, it’s week two and I love Londyn more and more every day! My mom came for week one and we had the best time ever. She helped me beyond words….answering all the silly questions that I had about doing things right and all the other little things that a mom should know when caring for a newborn. She taught me how to clean around her bellybutton, how to feed her properly, how to give her a bath, and so  [ Read More ]

So, Londyn has made her debut! She was born on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 12:55pm. She weighed 8 pounds and 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. Needless to say, I canot believe that such a big baby was inside of me for so long. She is the most precious thing that we could ever ask for, and has been a huge blessing to us already. Contractions started at 9:00pm on Wednesday night at 10 minutes apart. We called  [ Read More ]

Waiting, Waiting, Waiting…..

For those of you who don’t know, I have not had Londyn yet! She is taking her precious time coming into this world. I have decided that she is on her own time schedule, and even though it is somewhat hard for me to accept, I daily remind myself to be thankful that she is healthy and safe right where she is. The Lord is teaching me the importance of His timing- even though I want to meet her so  [ Read More ]

Finally a new post!

Wow! It has been a very long time since I have posted a blog! So much is going on in our lives and we have not taken the time out of our days to write about our sweet little Londyn. I am 34 weeks, which means that I only have 6 weeks to go! I cannot believe that we are this close to meeting her. Two weeks ago, we had a 4D ultrasound, and it was the most amazing thing  [ Read More ]

First Mother’s Day

This weekend has been one of the best weekends of my life. I have never put much thought into celebrating mother’s day, other than telling my mom how much I love her and reflecting on the memories that I have with her throughout my life. I have never really seen it as a celebration of motherhood until this weekend. This weekend, I celebrated being a mother for the first time. Although Londyn has not even been born, I still consider  [ Read More ]
